Improve Your Handwriting Book Review: Why Become Ambidextrous?

Hand writing words is something that all of us must do at some point in our lives. Most of us use the same exact hand to write words with a writing utensil throughout our entire lives.

This book changed all of that for me.

Because the book was made for either right or left handers someone who is right hand dominant or left hand dominant can easily learn to write with their non dominant hand using the techniques in this book.

See when you write with only one hand you will only be using one side of your brain heavily for your entire life. When you start alternating between the use of both hands you will find yourself using both sides of your brain!

Logical Creativity at its finest!

The book talks about two different types of grips:

First we have the traditional tripod grip which is when you hold a writing utensil with your thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger. Sort of like how a tripod holds up a camera.

Second we have the royalty grip which is when you hold a writing utensil between your middle finger and index finger using your thumb to hold it in place a bit better. This grip is primarily used by royalty who have to hold gold covered pens or very heavy pens in general. This grip allows for any pen to be held at any angle and is much more convenient for large, heavy pens than the traditional tripod grip.

In the book is also a template for writing out each individual letter.

For some reason I cannot figure out why you would ever use the two-stroke e instead of the one-stroke e... I suppose some mysteries are better left not solved.
